Having gone from nearly 5ft 4ins to 4ft 11' and a bit, I am now a Funny Shape. My bulging stomach begins just underneath my breasts. I have kyphosis. I look at least 6 months pregnant.
My present bras are Berlei Sports bras. I chose them because they do (did) seem supportive and robust. But now even when the shoulder straps are at their highest it seems not high enough. They ride up at the back and consequently the boobs rest on the stomach. They (the boobs) are not particularly big as I only weigh 8 stone and they are they are quite squashy as I am elderly.
I am wondering about one of those 'soft' bras, briefly mentioned on the NOS clothing leaflet, or would they not have enough support? I don't think a deeper bottom band would help as it would conflict with the stomach. Also I get sore beneath my breasts sometimes.
I hope someone can offer some advice. I have (fleetingly) thought the only solution is a double mastectomy!! Or a strong elastic bandage!!
PS Glamour is not high on my list of requirements. Just comfort.
